In 2005 I began working with the Royal Mail to develop a bicycle trailer to test whether they were of value to the Royal Mail.

This work led them to buy and trial 70 trailers designed and made by me (and my able helpers).

The trials were so successful that the Royal Mail tendered for 14,000 trailers that could also work as hand carts. I bid for this tender, and whats pictured is the winner being towed by an electric bicycle.

Sadly this contract was canceled in its closing stages because of problems with the bicycles, so I never did get to make those 14,000 trailers.
